Dear Diary
Monday
According to plans made yesterday we were supposed to be going to the flicks tonight but he turned up late again, too late in my opinion to go into Romford. I was furious. In fact, I refused to go out, as I said, it was a waste of money just going for the big film. So we stayed in all evening.
I don’t know why we bother to make plans as we never seem to keep to them. Yesterday was supposed to be a cinema night with Ron and Brenda and then a meal at a Chinese restaurant.
Alan had arrived (late as usual) with news that instead we were meeting Ron and Brenda at East Ham station and we would go on for a drink. (For a change!!) We ended up at the Rising Sun, Walthamstow. It wasn’t a bad evening I suppose. Ron talked and talked as usual. This time mostly about his wallpaper and carpets.
