An American singer/songwriter, author and visual artist Bob Dylan has been a major figure in popular culture for 50 years.
His most celebrated work dates from the 60s when his songs became anthems for the civil rights movement and the anti-war movement.
His lyrics incorporated a wide range of political, social, philosophical and literary influences and appealed to the burgeoning counterculture.
